BUFFALO, N.Y. — A new live music venue is in development at Theater Place, where a national company is working with local developers to open Electric City on the first and second floors.

The project comes from SaveLive, a Los Angeles-based company that provides services to independent venue owners to help preserve live music. While renovations are still underway in the space at 622 Main St., the first show has been scheduled for Feb. 23, with a lineup of shows to be announced Dec. 12.

“We’re booking everything from rock to country to DJs to alternative metal to comedy and more,” marketing manager Michelle Riggi said.
