AMHERST, N.Y. — A national Korean restaurant franchise is planning its entrance into Western New York with two sites.

KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot has signed a lease for 4224 Maple Road in Amherst in the Maple Ridge Plaza. The 4,200-square-foot space previously housed Tony Pepperoni, according to Rick Recckio of Recckio Real Estate & Development, who handled the deal.

The national franchise has seven stores in New York with another eight in development, according to its website. The company offers an all-you-can-eat experience that merges traditional Asian hot pot with Korean barbecue flavors combined with a full bar and nightlight atmosphere.
