'I think when we roll this out it’s going to get huge' Exciting additions coming to downtown Buffalo

The shift also opens up the plaza space for another potential food and drink tenant.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — It’s been just over a month since Hounds & Hops opened its doors at Seneca One, but the level of response and interest has kicked expansion plans into overdrive. Now plans call for creating the nation’s largest indoor dog park and beer garden.

Business partners Jarod Miller and Bob Manley are taking 30,000 square feet on the lower level of the tower once used as indoor parking. Inside, pet owners will find an elevated bar/lounge area with 32 beers on tap plus a build-your-own gourmet hot dog bar, as well as a Wonka-like dog wonderland with indoor play areas and even possibly a two-story corkscrew doggie slide.

The space has a pair of doors that leads to Exchange Street, where plans call for a 5,000-square-foot outdoor dog park under the I-190 with a path leading right to Canalside.
