BUFFALO, N.Y. β€” After eight years in business focused on vegan and plant-based foods, Avenue29 Foods & Catering has transitioned to a whole foods menu and opened its first brick and mortar location.

The business was founded in 2015, when owner Nick Mussolini began doing popups at Canalside offering quinoa bowls. Until he opened the new site, he leased commissary space at the Broadway Market to get ready for vendor events.

In November, he opened a new storefront in the Premier Plaza at 8012 Transit Road in Williamsville; a meal prep division followed on Feb. 1. The 1,500-square-foot leased space is next door to the recently expanded Paula's Donuts.
