WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — In his second deal since Jan. 1, a Buffalo hotelier has added another property to his portfolio.
Jay Patel's Rudra Management paid $3.95 million for Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham at 8005 Sheridan Drive in Williamsville. It bought the 99-room hotel from Erie, Pennsylvania-based Scott Enterprises.
Plans call for renovations and a name change at the hotel located across from the Olive Garden at the corner of Transit Road. Originally built as a Staybridge Suites in 2008, Patel will switch back to that national brand, making it the second Staybridge in his portfolio.
