CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — For the past 20 years, Brian Mietus has been doing his best to give visitors the best service and food he can imagine at Bacchus Wine Bar & Restaurant.
That effort has paid off, with the Chippewa Street site in downtown Buffalo consistently ranked among the top-rated restaurants for the Buffalo area on several third-party websites. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, Mietus says, online reviews and rankings matter.
“I think it always matters. You always want to get good reviews,” he said. “We’re downtown and a lot of out-of-town people and travelers are coming in and out. … We’re right in the heart of the entertainment district and all the hotels.”
With thousands of restaurants options for breakfast, lunch and dinner – including more than 100 new sites that opened last year, both locals and travelers alike have a lot of options. Those reviews and ratings can be a huge help to narrow down the field.
