BUFFALO, N.Y. — A few months ago, I vowed never to go to Trader Joe’s on a weekend again.
After a parking experience that can only be described as armageddon, I was engulfed by a crowd of people bustling around me and constantly knocking into my shopping basket.
That experience comes to mind amid a renewed push for a second local Trader Joe’s store. I can't help but wonder: Why is Trader Joe’s so popular in Western New York, a region that has a robust grocery market with plenty of players?
