BUFFALO, N.Y. — As it works to expand in-house, the Salty Chefs is looking to turn its best customers into investors.
The restaurant, which opened two years ago at 111 Genesee St. in Buffalo, is adding grab-and-go offerings as well as more catering options to supplement the business coming in from area hospitals and corporate offices.
Owners David and Donna Viertel have began a campaign June 1 with Honeycomb Credit to fund the effort, with a goal of raising $25,000-$50,000 by month’s end. Already, eight investors had signed on for $4,300.
