EAST AURORA, N.Y. — Less than two weeks after transitioning to new ownership by developer Douglas Jemal, Roycroft Inn and Restaurant operators are planning changes, including adding a bar and ending lunch service at the historic East Aurora site.
Jemal bought the inn and restaurant in early April from the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation, which had been its owner/caretaker since 1995.
The Library Bar at the Roycroft will replace the library dining room area, with plans for 12 to 15 seats at the bar, plus seven to nine tables where visitors can order from a casual pub menu. It will also have a separate entrance leading out to a deck and connecting to the Ali Baba's firepit area.
