BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two parts of Erie County are among the top 25 best places to live in the Northeast.
That’s according to Livability.com’s recently released data-driven rankings, which broadly reflect research findings that local amenities and affordability are top priorities for those looking to relocate, according to a press release.
Cheektowaga ranked No. 9 on the list partially due to its accessible location, such as being close to downtown Buffalo, a 20-minute drive to Niagara Falls and the home to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
The second-largest suburb in Buffalo also has activities like ice skating at the park, bowling leaves, nice park system and recreational programming, according to Tennessee-based Livability.com, a division of Journal Communications Inc. “Cheektowaga is built on hardworking, blue-collar roots and offers a classically friendly suburb with affordable homes that make the sweet life accessible to most," the ranking said.
