NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The owner of a vacant Niagara Falls hotel has a $16 million plan for an elaborate remodel that would turn the building into a rock-and-roll themed destination.
Live-USA Incorporated plans to turn the 80-room building at 472 Main St. into Hotel Live!, a luxury hotel with a restaurant and bar. The building has previously been a Niagara Inn and a Howard Johnson.
The company is seeking $2.12 million in tax breaks from the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency for the project.
According to Live-USA's application to the IDA, all of the hotel rooms will be renovated and a new music venue and restaurant will be added to the site. The hotel would create 32 full-time and 52 part-time jobs, the application said.
