TONAWANDA, N.Y. — A Tonawanda plant that does aluminum and steel blanking for the auto industry will lay off 36 workers in April.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the state’s Department of Labor, DKP Buffalo LLC will lay off 36 of its 85 employees at its 175 Ensminger Road plant. The layoffs, which will happen between April 30 and May 31, are due to the loss of a contract, according to the filing.
