HAMBURG, N.Y. — After more than three years of development – and lots of teases on social media, Maura Zalikowski expects to open the new Foxglove Pub in the Village of Hamburg by early fall.
Housed in a mid-1800s building at 20 S. Buffalo St., the pub will occupy about 800 square feet of the 1,380-square-foot building. It will likely feel much cozier though: Zalikowski and her husband, Andy, have transformed the space with floor to ceiling bookshelves filled with her vast book collection, with artwork and collectibles filling every inch of wall space.
“We definitely wanted something that was smaller, manageable and not overwhelming but gives you that pub feel,” she said.
