Key retirement shakes up leadership at General Mills

BUFFALO, N.Y. — General Mills, Inc. (NYSE: GIS) will change up several roles in its leadership team following the retirement of a long-time executive.

Sean Walker, General Mills' group president for international, will retire Feb. 28, after more than 30 years with the company, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

“Sean identified big bets for our International business and has been instrumental in our most recent launch of Blue Buffalo (pet food product) in China,” Jeff Harmening, chairman and CEO, said in the filing.

The following changes will go into effect Jan. 1 for the company, which employs 400 people in Buffalo. The company is based in Minneapolis.
