LEWISTON, N.Y. — The new operator of Villa Coffee House in Lewiston brings lots of experience, including more than 15 years as head chef at the former Schimschacks restaurant in Sanborn.

Vince Pallaci bought the Villa Coffee House business at 769 Cayuga St. from Stephen Pusateri, who sold the business after six years in preparation for opening Bistro Avera at 555 Center St.

Pallaci is a member of the Marinello family, who operated Schimschacks from 1976 until it closed in 2015. The restaurant in Sanborn was sold in 2017 and reopened in 2021 as the View.
