BUFFALO, N.Y. — Douglas Jemal is preparing to buy the former Buffalo News building at One News Plaza downtown, according to the Buffalo News.
Details of the sale have not been disclosed. Jemal would acquire the five-story office building, an adjacent production facility and the parking lot across Scott Street, the News reported. The seller is Lee Enterprises, the News' Iowa-based parent company.
This is the second time Lee has tried to sell the building. In late 2022, the News announced Uniland Development Co. would purchase the building. That deal fell through in March 2023.
