Oliver's, Britesmith Brewing team partner on new country market/deli

Customers can order a few pounds of turkey, pastrami or ham plus loaves of fresh focaccia, sourdough and baguettes, a quart of potato or pasta salad.

HAMBURG, N.Y. — It will likely be another year before the team behind Oliver’s opens Perennial, a new farm-to-table restaurant planned for 6666 Gowanda State Road in Hamburg. In the meantime, they’re planning a new café to open late summer right next door.

Ladybird comes from Dave Schutte and Ross Warhol of Schutte Hospitality Group, who have partnered with the new owners of the Water Valley Inn at 6656 Gowanda State Road. The cafe will operate from the 1,000-square-foot former tavern on the ground floor, while the building owners develop a three-room suite upstairs they’ll make available through Airbnb and Boost Rentals beginning in July.

Ladybird will operate from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering fresh baked bread and house-smoked meats with a menu of breakfast, lunch and grab-and-go deli items. Other menu items will include breakfast sandwiches and pastries, coffee drinks from Tipico as well as burgers and omelets.
