First Black-owned legal weed dispensary in Allentown aims for $5M in year one

Public Flower is hoping to bring in between 60 and 100 customers each day and see a revenue of between $2.5 million and $5 million in the first year of operation.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo recently welcomed its first Black-owned legal weed dispensary in Allentown.

Sheldon Anderson and his fiancé, Moriah Kelly, the owners of Public Flower, last weekend opened Western New York's first minority-owned legal weed dispensary at 232 Allen St.

“I’m proud to know that it’s locally owned, and minority- and woman-owned,” Anderson said. “I think it’s a testament to the equity components within the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act, and it’s a testament to the vision of New York State Asemblymember Crystal Peoples-Stokes.”
