BUFFALO, N.Y. — The new head chef for Cornelia Café at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum had a lot of inspiration when she redesigned the menu.
Seasonal fare and the availability of local vegetable and proteins has always been a focus for Jessica Arends at her past jobs at Lago 210 and Six Friends Cabernet in Lancaster. But now she is now surrounded each day by contemporary artworks filled with color, texture and topics.
Arends took over the kitchen just six months after the opening of the Cornelia, which coincided with the reopening of the AKG last summer following a $200 million expansion and renovation.
