BUFFALO, N.Y. — Twin Petrels Seltzer Co. — located on Niagara Street — announced Wednesday that it will close at the end of the year.
The seltzery used the space formerly occupied by Resurgence Brewery, which moved to Ohio Street in February of 2021. Twin Petrels Seltzer Co. featured creative seltzers, cocktails, mocktails, and food.
"Twin Petrels Seltzer Co's name was a nod to my 4-year-old twin daughters who are my top priority and unfortunately, owning & operating a full-service restaurant and brewery (along with other businesses) has not quite fit with that at this time, and has taken a toll on our family," the owner, Katrina Piechowicz, said Wednesday in a Facebook post.
Regular business hours will continue through the end of the month.
"Running a hospitality-based business is a major undertaking, full of glimmering moments and also difficulties," Twin Petrels said. "From the small business owners who we have collaborated with us, to the staff, and the guests who have shared our love of seltzers, I cannot thank you enough for celebrating and sharing this experience with us."
