BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Bison emoji will be coming soon.
Unicode, which manages the ever-growing stable of emoji, announced 62 new ones that will be coming this year, and one of them will be the bison.
2 On Your Side looked into it, and apparently people put together long proposals to get new emoji. This proposal was 17 pages from a Syracuse University graduate who talked about how popular the animal is, and how people request it a lot to represent sports teams.
You should be able to get it on your phone in the fall.
But you don't have to wait that long to get it on a shirt. The folks at 26shirts are already on top of it.
