CLARENCE, N.Y. — In a surprise move, Best Buy informed employees at its Clarence store that the Transit Road location will close Oct. 31.
One employee described the past season as a "strong summer" in sales.
The consumer electronics store is an anchor of the Shops at Main Transit, formerly the Clarence Mall, at 4401 Transit Road. Best Buy has been a tenant for more than 10 years in the shopping center at 4401 Transit Road, immediately south of Eastern Hills Mall.
