BUFFALO, N.Y. — Flush with new investors, plans for the long-vacant and construction-stalled former Adam Meldrum & Anderson Co. store have reemerged with a 340-room hotel replaced by a mix of commercial office and retail space and apartments.
Final plans are still being worked on and the proposed $60 million makeover of the 10-story, Main Street building may be submitted to Buffalo’s planning and zoning departments by early June, sources confirmed.
The revised plan comes three months after a new investment group, 377 Main Realty Inc., acquired the 375,000-square-foot former retailing complex from Landco H&L, a Chinese-backed investment group that listed Flushing as New York headquarters.
