BUFFALO, N.Y. — The region’s last A.C. Moore crafts and hobby store will begin a shutting down next month, but it remains unclear if the Hamburg retail outlet will re-open as Michael’s store.
According to a WARN notice, Long Island-based retailer A.C. Moore Inc. will close a 22,000-square-foot store in the McKinley Plaza — one of three to close in New York state in the coming weeks. The others are in Nassau and Rockland counties.
The Department of Labor notice indicates that 35 people at A.C. Moore’s McKinley Plaza store will lose their jobs as the shutdown is expected to start on Feb. 19 and be completed by March 4. You can read more on Buffalo Business First's website.
