BUFFALO, N.Y. — It's 43North week for the startup community in Buffalo. The 8th edition of the 43North business competition finals is being held in downtown Buffalo on Thursday.
But today the semifinals were held to cut the remaining startup companies from 15 down to 8.
The eight selected finalists are Otrafy, Lilu, Agape Wellness, AMPAworks, Phood, CAHill TECH, Mod Tech Labs, and Twipes.
Today's sold-out event was held at the Seneca One Auditorium.
Out of the eight chosen finalists, five of them will be winning one million dollars each tomorrow night.
"And one of the most important things is, what does this company mean for Buffalo? Do they fit this Buffalo community? And what's their plan for when they get here?" said Christian Gaddis, senior marketing manager for 43North. "For not only lifting up their company but also lifting up our community and really becoming a great community partner as well."
The 43North finals are scheduled for tomorrow night at six at Shea's Performing Arts Center.
The show is sold out, but you can stream it on the 43North website.
