$3M Canisius High School project would add fields to West Seneca complex

According to the West Seneca Planning Board, work on the diamonds would begin in the fall and be ready for play in spring 2022.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Canisius High School is now working with West Seneca officials on plans to add synthetic fields for the school's varsity and junior varsity baseball teams.

The diamonds will be part of the Buffalo high school's off-campus Robert J. Stransky Memorial Athletic Complex at 2885 Clinton Street in West Seneca. Canisius, an all-boys Catholic high school that is located on Delaware Avenue, opened the sports complex in 2007.

The $3 million project will include two diamonds, batting cages, pitching mounds, dugouts and two bleachers that can each hold up to 200 spectators.
