BATAVIA, Ill. — As prices in grocery stores continue to rise, it can be difficult to buy a full Thanksgiving spread on a budget. One grocery store chain has addressed the problem by offering a special holiday deal.
ALDI announced Thursday that this holiday season, it will offer its lowest-priced Thanksgiving basket in five years. A full meal for 10 people will cost less than $47.
The shopping list items includes a Butterball turkey with spices, gravy, rolls, mac and cheese, stuffing, and ingredients for cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green been casserole, and pumpkin pie.
“Every day at ALDI, we are focused on finding ways to deliver the lowest possible prices for our customers — and this Thanksgiving is no different,” ALDI CEO Jason Hart said in a statement.
“With 25% of U.S households now shopping ALDI, we know grocery prices are still top of mind for customers. We worked hard this Thanksgiving to deliver the best value and quality products so everyone can enjoy a traditional meal with family and friends without having to scale back.”
ALDI said availability for the Thanksgiving basket may vary by store location and is subject to change. It wasn't mentioned if the deal will be available in Western New York stores.
The pricing will be valid from Oct. 16 to Nov. 27. Thanksgiving is on Thursday, Nov. 28.
