BUFFALO, N.Y. — Friday is looking like perfect running weather, so get out those sneakers.
The 42nd annual Subaru Buffalo 4-mile chase will kick off on Friday, July 19 on Elmwood Avenue at 7 p.m.
During the race, portions of the following roads will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Elmwood Avenue
- Forest Avenue
- Delaware Avenue
- Summer Street
- Bidwell Parkway
City of Buffalo officials ask drivers to just stay clear of the area since there's a high potential for delays.
The race is considered Western New York’s Premier International Sporting Event, being just one of the top three 4-mile races in the world.
A free t-shirt will be given to the first 750 entries. There also will be a post race party with live music, free food and drinks and cash prizes for the top male and female winners.
