Turn Sunday night's Bills game into a weekend trip in Pittsburgh

From the Queen City to the Steel City, there's a lot of things happening in the 'Burgh for Bills fans this weekend.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — As a Buffalo native who recently moved back after living in Pittsburgh for two years, I can assure you that there are a lot of things Bills fans can do if you want to turn Sunday night's game against the Steelers into a weekend trip.

The View

One of Pittsburgh's most prized possessions is its skyline. For a few dollars you can take the Monongahela or Duquesne Incline up to the top of Mount Washington for breathtaking views of the city.

Museums

Pittsburgh has an abundance of museums for people of all ages. Fans who enjoy artwork can visit the Andy Warhol Museum, Carnegie Museum of Art, or the Mattress Factory. Science buffs can visit the Carnegie Science Center. You can also check out the Heinz History Center or the August Wilson African American Cultural Center to learn more about Pittsburgh's rich history.

See A Show

If you're heading down on Saturday and want to see a show, Pittsburgh has several theaters in the Cultural District Downtown, including Heinz Hall, The Byham Theater, Benedum Center for Performing Arts, and the Pittsburgh Public Theater. You can visit the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's website for more information.

Shopping/Food Scene

There are so many neighborhoods in the immediate Pittsburgh area for people who want to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat. You can visit Southside Works for stores/restaurants similar to the Walden Galleria and Fashion Outlets of Niagara. To take in the local shopping or dining scenes, you can walk down Penn Avenue in the Strip District, Butler Street in Lawrencville, or Market Square in the heart of downtown. You also have places such as Shadyside, East Liberty, Highland Park, Squirrel Hill, Bloomfield, and Station Square.

Bringing The Kids?

There are a lot of attractions for people bringing the whole family to Pittsburgh. The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh features some interactive exhibits where kids can get involved. You can also take them to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, the National Aviary, or the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. If you're looking to get in the holiday spirit, you can take them to Peoples Gas Holiday Market Downtown and go ice skating at the rink at PPG Place
