OLCOTT, N.Y. — On Thursday, many local residents in Newfane took to social media to share a very sad, and skinny stray dog that had been spotted out and about looking for help.
Although it has not been reported that the dog has been caught, the Niagara SPCA made a post that they are working on the case.
On Sunday December, 11 the Niagara SPCA shared a new update that they have joined forces with 'Sherlock Bones Lost 'N Hound Dog Recovery' to help recover the stray dog.
Both groups have set up bait stations, and are encouraging residents in the area to not go near or tamper with the stations.
In their updated post they wrote "Trying to track her will only deter her from bate stations and traps set, which will not only delay her capture and potentially put her further in harm's way. We will update everyone if and when she is caught."
