Most Buffalo Story of the Day: National Love Your Pet Day

You shared thousands of photos of your pets with us.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — On this Tuesday, our Most Buffalo Story of the Day is about National Love Your Pet Day. It is celebrated every year on February 20th.

2 On Your Side viewers shared thousands of photos. We poured through them Tuesday afternoon to put together our Most Buffalo Story of the Day.

If there's one thing we know in Western New York, the fur squad is strong! As of Tuesday afternoon, we had more than five thousand responses across our social media accounts for National Love Your Pet Day.

And, it's hard to pick just a few dozen of your pets for this story because they're all the best, but here goes. We start things off with some classic poses from some classy pets like Eclair with the perfect message for LOVE Your Pet Day. Jackie sent us a photo of Riesling in front of some flowers that have us thinking about spring. Julie says "This puddle of fur is my cat Choco (Choe-coe)... the lovely devilish fur ball." Sue's Nikki is 7, and Amanda's Bud loves giving "side eye." Josh sent us a photo of George relaxing by the pool.

If you click on the video you can see all of the photos described here.

Just like their humans, pets are part of Bills' Mafia. Barney and Betty say GO BILLS! Ralph looks like he's ready to go on a tour of the new stadium. Marbles has the best seat in the house. Evelyn told us Buttercup helps her laugh. Natalie has Molly ready to watch a game, and PJ is looking dapper. Finally, a feline joined the Bills Mafia as Mac Mittens takes a nap.

But, Mac and everyone else should wake up, because it's time for pets in hats! Frankie's celebrating a birthday, and so are Kevin, Summer, and Winter. Their human says this was Kevin's first birthday. Antlers count as a hat, right? Because Enzo from Allegany also wore them. But does a remote count as a hat? Susan's dog has some questions about that.

And while the majority of our pets are cats and dogs, we can't forget about the members of the fur squad who don't necessarily have fur! Pampered Apollo has a tiny pancake hat and a personalized blanket. Axel enjoys hanging out. Capu (short for Cappuccino) is a Mini Rex bunny posing for the camera. And, Teri shared photos of Dimitri and Dolores outside and their brother Harry, too. Griswald is representing pets with shells. He's Aiden's Russian tortoise.

Finally, many of our pets become best friends not only with us but amongst themselves like Jenna and Zoey, rescues who are also littermates. And Fernando and Lincoln fit the bill of best friends who most definitely are not littermates. Onyx and Opal sat for a photo shoot together. MacKenzie and Sampson like watching TV. Kristen shared this photo of Truffle and another Eclair snuggling. And, Ember, Sky, and Bella are all packed up and ready to go.

We love all of your pets on Most Buffalo, and you can keep sharing your photos with us. Just make sure you use #BeOn2.
