ATLANTA — There's a health warning from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that a drug-resistant disease might be spreading through pet store puppies.
More than two dozen people across the country have gotten sick from the bacteria called Campylobacter jejuni.
Four people have had to go to the hospital, and almost all of the people who got sick say they had contact with a puppy in a pet store.
The CDC is still trying to lock down the cause of the illnesses, and in the meantime make sure you're washing your hands after touching pets.
