BUFFALO, N.Y. — This week is National Foster Animal Appreciation Week, and the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter is celebrating by showing off some of their cutest foster rescues, that are looking for homes.
In a post made to their Facebook page the CBAS was happy to introduce the world to Patches O’Houlihan, aka Patches for short.
Their caption explained that Patches unlike most dogs only has 3 legs, making him a "tri-pawd".
Due to having severe matting when he was rescued, his leg had to be amputated. But that hasn't stopped patches from being the best fur boy.
In their post they wrote, "This little fella showed up at CBAS with hair so badly matted, he ended up needing a leg amputation. Thanks to Friends of CBAS though, he was able to get the care he needed. He then landed in a cushy foster home with one of our volunteers, where he's been recovering like a champ and is now available for adoption!!!"
