BUFFALO, N.Y. — NFL Hall of Famer Andre Reed is teaming up with Buffalo-born actor Chad Michael Murray to executive produce "Just One Before I Die."
It focuses on Bills Mafia, their spirit, love of team, and patience as they wait to one day see the Lombardi Trophy in Buffalo.
The docuseries is being co-directed and produced by Addison Henderson and Kevin Polowy, both Buffalo natives.
"When I came to Buffalo in 1985, the fans were still the same, but they didn't have a name behind it, and I think they really take pride in this name the 'Bills Mafia,' and everybody knows it. So we want to put it on the screen and really get the essence of what Bills Mafia is about from my eyes, Chad's eyes, and from the fans' eyes," Reed told Channel 2's Claudine Ewing.
Reed said he plans to be in Buffalo a few times before the end of the season.
He's excited about this docuseries, which they hope to get on major streaming services.
"I've met fans from all over the place, in different parts of the country. I met fans from from Italy, from Germany. They got Bills Mafia there. There's always pictures on the Internet about them, you know. Bills Mafia, wherever they are, it's a movement," Reed said.
Reed said he is really excited. "I just want to give the fans and Buffalo their flowers. They deserve it!"
