LACKAWANNA, N.Y. — This family-owned Christmas themed store has expanded and is now a destination for yuletide shoppers outside of Western New York.
The almost 25-year-old Christmas Shoppe will soon hit a historical marker.
It's nearly impossible to count the number of Christmas trees in the building, all with a different theme. Some have a traditional motif, adorned with angels or Santa's, or portrayals of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Others have more whimsical themes, like food, animals or the Buffalo Bills.
The owner of the store, Pat Woyshner, said that buying online can be risky, and coming to the store like their own can assure an item's quality. Obviously, this is the busiest season for the store but, they are open for most of the year.
Plans are underway for the Ridge Road store to be open all year-round in 2024.
