BUFFALO, N.Y. — Taste of Buffalo returns to downtown Buffalo for its 41st season next month.
This year the food festival will feature 43 local restaurants and food trucks and four New York State wineries, and they will be set up along Delaware Avenue between Chippewa Street and Niagara Square.
It will take place on Saturday, July 13 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tickets are available ahead of time in ten-dollar increments at the checkout of any Tops Friendly Market, they can also be purchased in six-dollar sheets from tents at the festival. This year there is also a family deal, when you purchase 60 dollars worth of tickets you will also receive four free nonalcoholic drinks.
Primary sponsor Tops Friendly Markets has teamed up with The Taste of Buffalo to support this year's charitable sponsor, BestSelf Behavioral Health.
2024 Taste of Buffalo Chair, Tom Mahoney said, "It's like a family reunion almost, the whole city gets together on that weekend every year and I think they plan for it. We provide some new stuff, they love it, they get some new tastes but they also get their favorites as well so it's a guaranteed win."
The Taste of Buffalo is a large-scale festival, chefs are preparing for a bigger turnout than last year.
Joe Mendolera from Genevieve's Cheesecakes said, "Last year we sold out on Sunday, the second day, so this year we have added an additional 600 slices."
The Taste also provides small businesses with the opportunity to showcase their products to a big audience.
"This has been a really great opportunity for us, as a small business it's very hard for us to get our products out to a large group of people," said Kimberly Hanzlian, owner of Hanzlian's Sausages.
