BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres' Learn to Play program registration is now open for its 2025 season.
They are partnering with Rasmus Dahlin and Alex Tuch and their foundations, The Rasmus Dahlin Foundation and the AT9 Foundation.
Dahlin's foundation supports two charities each season that represent Western New York, and this year they chose the Courage of Carly Fund at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and GiGi’s Playhouse of Buffalo.
"Our foundation is focused on improving the lives of children in Buffalo, especially those who may not always have access to resources and teaming up with the Sabres’ Learn to Play program is a great way to do that,” Dahlin said in a statement.
He added: “We’re not just helping kids get into hockey. We’re also promoting health, wellness, and giving them the chance to be part of a team. It’s all about making sure every child has opportunities to grow and feel supported."
Tuch's foundation focuses on supporting research to end childhood cancer and helping people with special needs.
"We have a unique opportunity to inspire the next generation, helping kids discover a love for hockey while also developing essential life skills like perseverance, leadership, and teamwork," Tuch said in a statement.
Thousands of kids have taken part in the Learn to Play programs since 2016. The experience includes six weeks of on-ice instruction, head-to-toe hockey equipment and a ticket voucher to a 2024-25 Buffalo Sabres home game.
