Coat donations for refugee families

As you go through your closet this year to get rid of old coats, think about the use they could be for someone else.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The International Institute of Buffalo is asking the community for help to prepare family's in need for the winter.

If you have any winter coats that maybe you have out-grown or out-styled, someone else may be able to make better use for them.

As the winter approaches and more people are in need of supplies and clothing, there are refugee families who need help finding these items the most. Some families may be experiencing winter for the first time.

What the Institute will be accepting are men’s, women’s, and children’s medium, large, and extra large coats.

Winter accessories like hats and gloves will also be accepted for donations as well.

You can drop off your gently used winter coats at 864 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo between there open hours on Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
