Clarence Arts, Crafts Society hosts 43rd annual holiday show

The event took over the Clarence Town Park Clubhouse on Saturday and Sunday, showcasing 50 artisans.

CLARENCE, N.Y. — People got into the holiday spirit Sunday in Clarence with the 43rd annual Holiday Arts and Craft Show.

The Clarence Arts and Craft Society took over the Town Park Clubhouse this weekend, showcasing 50 artisans.

The show features a wide variety of homemade goods, including pottery, copper art and jewelry and Buffalo-themed note cards and novelty gifts.

The society makes sure that each piece is made with care.

"We really go through everything that's coming in and make sure that we only accept a certain amount of every medium," said Jill Ognibene, vice president of the Clarence Arts and Craft Society. "So there's a lot of perfect variety of everything and it's not all jewelry, or all wood. So it's a great place to come and get your holiday shopping started and finished."

The society also contributes to other art events in the community, and many of the society members are also artisans themselves.
