BUFFALO, N.Y. — Pizza and a Pup. That was the Sunday promotion at Mister Pizza on Elmwood Avenue, on one of the busiest days for pizza and wings.
The pizza company teamed up with a local dog rescue, Queen City Pitties, to advertise dogs that need a home on their pizza boxes on Sunday.
"My daughter actually a few years back actually adopted a rescue from Queen City, and it's been a great companion for her, so they reached out to us," Mister Pizza owner Anthony Franco told 2 On Your Side.
"We actually put an advertisement on our pizza box, so with the number of pizzas we are selling today, we figure that we'll get the word out pretty wide and get a good number of people to see it."
