BUFFALO, N.Y. — Recently Buffalo Police K-9 handler Lt. Elizabeth Baker and her K-9 Paddy took a trip across the country.
The trip was for a K-9 fundraising event created by Spike's K-9 Fund that's mission is to support the care, training, and preservation of working dog's.
The event brought together both handlers, and their K-9's from all over the country in one place for a good cause.
The fundraiser known as Spike's Soiree helped raise $400,000 to assist K-9 units across all 50 States. The soiree was the third annual, and was at the One World Observatory in New York City.
To date the organization has donated over $20,000 worth of equipment to the Buffalo Police Department K-9 unit.
