ATLANTA — A metro Atlanta mansion is back on the market. The former residence of movie mogul Tyler Perry is now listed for $3.9 million.
The sprawling 16 thousand square foot mansion sits on 11 acres in Fairburn's Chattahoochee Hills neighborhood.
"This property has a pool, ponds, and movie theater," said Atlanta realtor Hubert Tate.
The home has six bedrooms and six bathrooms. It also features towering ceilings, a sweeping staircase and custom chandeliers.
Tyler Perry owned the home for 15 years and had everything built to his specifications. He also filmed one of his biggest movies, "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," at the residence.
The property has been listed for sale for more than $5 million in the past, but Tate expects it to attract more interest this time.
"Because of market conditions and consumer confidence, we feel like this will be a great time to get this property sold," said Tate.
The owner is even including a vintage Rolls Royce, a Ferrari and custom home upgrades in the purchase.
"The new owner can move right in and take those plans to their favorite contractor and get started on the work immediately," said Tate.
