BUFFALO, N.Y. โ On a day for sports and animal lovers, local puppies will team up at Puppy Bowl XX.
The Puppy Bowl will be broadcast on Animal Planet on Sunday, February 11 at 2p.m. with four dogs representing Western New York.
Out of 73 shelters and rescues featuring 131 puppies participating in the Puppy Bowl, two are from Buffalo, Buddy's Second Chance Rescue, and Nickle City Canine Rescue.
Gunnar and Shadow are from Buddy's Second Chance Rescue. Both have already been adopted and they stopped by Most Buffalo on Monday with their new puppy parents.
This is the third time that Buddy's Second Chance Rescue has participated in the Puppy Bowl. They film the big game in Glen Falls, NY and there's a big stage where the puppies can play and have a good time.
This year Team Ruff will go up against Team Fluff for the "Lombarky" Trophy.
During the game, a puppy will be chosen as the Most Valuable Puppy. During the game viewers will also be able to learn about each puppy's breed mix and if they are still available for adoption.
