BUFFALO, N.Y. — The busy summer season is in full swing at the Buffalo Zoo.
The colorful lanterns for Zoomagination have arrived, children are filling the park for school field trips, and some of the most popular animals aren't even the permanent Zoo residents.
They're the dogs starring in "Canine Champions for Conservation," a new show in town for the season.
"It's our new center stage show, it features all rescue dogs performing cool behaviors. They kind of show the connection that canines have with conservation and nature here," Zoo Marketing & Public Relations Manager Christian Dobosiewicz said.
The dogs in the show have been rescued from shelters around the country and trained to show off their skills at jumping, sniffing, catching frisbees, and even jumping rope.
Showtimes are Wednesday - Monday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. There are no shows on Tuesday.
The Buffalo Zoo is also getting ready for a new season of Zoomagination, which features colorful lantern and light displays.
This year's event begins on June 21st. More information is available on the Buffalo Zoo Website.
