ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A woman from Orchard Park loves the Bills so much she has a whole room in her house dedicated to being a fan. 81-year-old Gerrie Gilcrist said she's been a Bill's fan since the 60's. She said, "I haven't missed a game in maybe 50 something years."
Even before you step inside her home, you will quickly figure out who she's rooting for. She said it all started when she used to go to the games with her dad and brother. What used to be what she called her 'breezeway' is now her 'Bills Way.' Her collection started with a lamp and grew from there.
"I thought should make it white, blue and red and put some of my stuff out," Gilcrist said. "It turned out I had more stuff than I thought I did!"
Cam McKlevis is Gerrie's friend and neighbor. McKlevis said when Gerrie came up with the idea, she got excited about it. McKlevis said there are decades laid out in Gilcrist's 'Bills Way.' Gilcrist said she had season tickets for more than 40 years.
There are stadium tickets, pins, memorabilia from the Super Bowl and all kinds of collectibles inside her room. She even received a cardboard cut out of Bills Quarterback Josh Allen. She said as of right now, it's her favorite item. Her favorite player is Steve Tasker.
"I bought a car and they gave me him as a bonus because I showed them videos of this room," Gilcrist said.
Gilcrist has been to two Super Bowls. Even though she said there isn't any more room in her 'Bills Way,' we know she could find some space if her biggest wish came true. She, like many Bills fans, is hoping for another Super Bowl.
"Just like the shirts say, one more time before I die," Gilcrist said.
