BUFFALO, N.Y. — Just in time for Christmas, a classic show is on stage at Shea's Performing Arts Center.
"Annie" has performances through Saturday, December 23rd.
The show features all the recognizable songs, including Tomorrow, It's the Hard Knock Life, and You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.
The touring cast includes seven children and two dogs, who are a big hit with audiences.
"You wouldn't think on initial thought, but the whole show takes place on the week up to Christmas," Actress Samantha Stevens, who plays Lily St. Regis, said.
The actress says the show is sure to get you in the holiday spirit.
"I just think the whole show is so optimistic and hopeful, and I think we all just need a little bit of sunshine in our lives right now," she said. "There's moments of laughter and moments of hope, and it's a great show, I think, to wrap the year up and start a new year."
It's also a great opportunity to see the impressive Christmas décor in the Shea's lobby.
In honor of the talented four-legged members of the cast, Shea's is teaming up with Underdogs Rescue, City of Buffalo Animal Shelter, Diamonds in the Ruff & Ten Lives Club for a pet supply drive.
You can drop your items off at the Shea's box office now through December 23rd.
