Family-owned car wash opens on Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda

Royal Car Wash is offering free car washes during its first seven days of business.

TONAWANDA, N.Y. — Is road salt wreaking havoc on your vehicle? It might be time for a car wash.

Tonawanda welcomed a new family-owned car wash over the weekend, and it's offering free car washes all week. The Royal Car Wash, located at 1355 Sheridan Drive, officially opened its doors on Saturday.

One of the unique things about this car wash is that it is working on being green.

Its reclaim system reuses 80 percent of wash water and its soaps are completely biodegradable.

"We are excited to become a part of the Buffalo community and to offer a highly efficient, high-quality car wash and service. What makes our wash different is faster lines, cleaner cars, and happier people and no-tipping policy," co-owner Danny Daniele said. "My wife is from Lockport and we frequent the Buffalo area each week. Buffalo has become our second home."

The new car wash is right next to Caputi's Sheridan Pub and Paula's Donuts on Sheridan. The parcel was previously vacant before the car wash was built.
