Drake is no stranger to Buffalo.
The artist has referenced Buffalo and Western New York before in his music.
The Toronto rapper and chart-topper released a new album last month, "For All The Dogs," which has 23 tracks. One of the songs is called "Away From Home," and it references the Walden Galleria.
How could I forget? How could I forget?
Was on a Greyhound way before the jet
Buffalo, New York was like the furthest I could get
At the Walden Galleria, tryna make the money stretch
Two years ago, he dropped a Daemen College reference (before the University name change) on a song called "The Remorse," where he rhymed, "Daemen College booking me to pull and speak the facts."
Daeman was quick to issue a statement about the name-drop, saying it was a reference to Drake performing at the school back in 2009 before he was well known.
Before that, back in 2017, Drake referenced both Buffalo and Niagara Falls in a track called "Can't Have Everything."
On a yacht, me and all the dogs actin' like some dogs
We evolved, used to think vacation meant Niagara Falls
Swear to God, shout to Buffalo, never duckin' low
