ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. — The leaves are changing and Oktoberfest season is here! Check our 2 On Your Side's list of the major fall festivals happening across Western New York this weekend, Friday, October 4 - Sunday, October 6.
- Open Arms Rescue of WNY is hosting an Oktoberfest at the Avanti Mansion to benefit their canine rescue mission. Festivities to include live music, a 50/50 drawing, basket raffle, as well as other larger raffle prizes. Lots of beer will be on tap. The event takes place Friday, October 4. - Chautauqua Institution is also hosting an October Festival all weekend long. Enjoy German food, fall treats, axe throwing, and hay rides on the picturesque grounds. A full list of the weekend's activities can be found here.
- Salamanca Seneca Falling Leaves Festival will take place this weekend at Jefferson street Park in Salamanca, NY. The event features free carnival rides for kids, live music, food trucks, vendors, and more. Additional information can be found here.
