BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo History Museum is kicking off its Women's History Month Tour, spotlighting and sharing the stories of women that have made an impact here in Western New York.
2 On your Side spoke with the executive director of the museum, who said not enough stories are being told.
"I was made aware of how few of these stories are in our physical landscape," Melissa Brown said. "Up until that project, there are only two stories dedicated to women in the environment, to help people recognize these contributions, here at the museum.
"Whenever we have a chance to tell stories of historically excluded individuals, particularly women, we're trying to elevate those."
Tickets are still on sale for the tour, which starts at 1 p.m. Saturday. It's $13 for general admission and $10 for museum members.
